Beverly Struwe

Beverly I. Struwe, age 84, of Grand Meadow, MN, died on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Spring Valley Senior Living in Spring Valley, MN.
Beverly Irene Knutson was born on February 16, 1932, daughter of Albert and Mae (Jensen) Knutson in Beaver Township, Fillmore County, Minnesota.  On October 6, 1949, she was married to Wayne “Doc” Struwe in Sargeant, MN.  Beverly was a compassionate person on a mission to take care of others before herself.   She was the epitome of a homemaker, who liked reading cook books and collecting new recipes.  She especially loved cooking and baking goodies for her family.  In her leisure time Beverly enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening, and genealogy.      
Beverly is survived by her children Barb (Jerome) Ahles of Hartland, MN, Ken (Marilyn) Struwe of Minneapolis, MN, Jan (Lorin) Hammon of Spring Valley, MN, and Curt (Sarah) Struwe of Lake City, MN; 9 grandchildren Wes Ahles, Patti Rolfing, Dylan Ahles, Joe Struwe, Karin Struwe, Graham Struwe, Bradin Hammon, Chelsi Jahn, and Caden Struwe; 5 great grandchildren; brother Merle (Faye) Knutson; sister-in-law Joan Knutson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mae Knutson, husband Wayne “Doc” Struwe, and 2 brothers Berdette Knutson and Mervin Knutson.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow, MN with Pastor Beth Krolak officiating.  Burial will be in Grand Meadow Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
