Bruce Hungerford

Bruce Erwin Hungerford, age 64, of Zumbrota, MN, succumbed to throat cancer at his home surrounded by family on July 31st, 2016.

Bruce was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all. He is survived by his son Brett (Michelle) Hungerford of Rockmart, GA, Parents Louis and Mary Lou Hungerford of Le Roy, MN, 2 sisters Paula Myran of Zumbrota, MN and Lana (Greg) Soloman of Las Vegas, Nevada, and his loving grandchildren; Kaylie, Jeremy, Alyssa, Dylan, Joshua and great-grandson Braxton as well as many extended family members.

Bruce retired from Seagate Technology in May 2016 after more than 20 years.  He loved doing carpentry work on weekends, spending countless hours taking photos, he enjoyed sports (especially his Minnesota Vikings) and taking road trips to Georgia to visit his son and grandkids. He also loved cooking and camping. Bruce’s generosity knew no bounds. Whether you needed help with a carpentry project or just a small favor, Bruce was always there for his friends and family, no matter what.

Bruce’s family would like to express a special thank you to all the doctors at the Mayo Clinic and St Croix Hospice in Rochester for their loving care and support. Also a thank you to Hindt Funeral Home for the Help with Arrangements.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday August 8, 2016 at the Le Roy Lutheran Church with the Rev Herman Bakker officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until time of service at the church.
