Memorial services for Donna Garnatz will be held 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley, MN. Burial will take place in the Etna Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Donna J. Garnatz, age 69, of Spring Valley, MN passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, MN.

Donna Jean Westphal was born November 8, 1946 in Spring Valley, MN to August and Bernice (Tienter) Westphal. She was a graduate of Spring Valley High School. Donna loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school and sports events, especially watching them play football, volleyball, and basketball.

Donna is survived by her children, Sandra Long of Grand Prairie, TX and Keith Kolden of Spring Valley, MN; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Hill, Trayton Hill, Danielle Kolden, Kahri Kolden, Ericka Kolden, and Brooke Kolden; sisters, Patricia Westphal and Ruth Mae Rollie both of Spring Valley, MN; special niece, VerLynne Koch of Spring Valley, MN; special family friend, Mary Leibfried of Spring Valley, MN; and she was also blessed to have 6 other children call her mom, Dan, Angie, Brion, and Travis Garnatz and the Jensen girls, Jessica and April.

She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Bernice, sister, Beatrice Leonard, and half-brother, Garrison Tienter.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be left to Seasons Hospice of Rochester, MN in Donna’s name.
