Ellsworth “Red” Krueger, age 83, of Grand Meadow, MN passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Grand Meadow Healthcare Center.
Ellsworth Ruben Krueger was born May 18, 1932 in Onekima, Michigan to Edwin and Anna (Tuster) Krueger. He attended school through the 8th grade. On February 10, 1941, Red was united in marriage to Shirley Cain in Milwaukee, WI. Red was a very committed husband and father working 12-14 hours a day as a steel worker to support and provide for his family. When not working, Red enjoyed grilling during all seasons, gardening, raising chickens, rabbits, and ducks, watching TV, John Wayne, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Baptist Church and took part in Bible Studies. Red had a great sense of humor and was a very strong and loving man.
Red is survived by his wife Shirley Krueger of Grand Meadow, MN; children, Danny (Donna) Krueger of Milwaukee, WI, Linda (James) Greider of Rantaul, IL, Cindy (Bruce) Beyerl of Rockford, IL, and Ruth Ann (Ekane Kenneth) Krogge of Rochester, MN; 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Beth Ann, Brian, and Becky; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Anna, brothers, Ralph, Edwin Sr., and Raymond Sr, and sister, Virginia.
