Kathleen A. Adams, age 70, of Riceville, IA, died on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
Kathleen was born on December 22, 1945, daughter of Albert A. and Margaret (Cornwall) Adams in Santa Barbara, CA. During her working life Kathleen worked for the State of California as a Correctional Sergeant. Kathleen was not a high maintenance or fussy person and liked life to be simple. She retired to the country and truly enjoyed the Iowa way of life. She was a friendly and dependable neighbor. Kathleen enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions.
Surviving Kathleen are 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 10 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home 407 Woodland Ave. Riceville, Iowa 50466. Burial will take place at a later date in Santa Ana Cemetery in Santa Ana, California.
