Lawrence "Larry" V. Fruth Jr.

Lawrence “Larry” Volney Fruth Jr., age 78, of Grand Meadow, MN died Monday July 25, 2016 at his home in Grand Meadow.  Larry was born December 10, 1937 in Grand Meadow to Lawrence and Gladys (Peterson) Fruth. He attended and graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1956 and joined the United States Marines serving from 1956 until 1959. Following his discharge he worked for the Kahler Hotel in Rochester. After leaving the Kahler Larry had a milk route and then worked for Stier Farms in Grand Meadow until his retirement. After his retirement he went back to work driving truck in the fall for Tangren Farms.

Larry is survived by two brothers; Mike (Vicky) Fruth of Rochester, MN and Brian (Teri) Fruth of Grand Meadow, MN, three sisters; Mavis Richardson of Austin, MN, Carol (Jay) Donovan of Rochester, MN and Judy (Butch) Douglas of Spring Valley, MN, one uncle; Bernard Lammers of Adams, MN, one aunt; Bonny Fruth of Boulder, CO. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a niece, a great nephew, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday August 2, 2016 at St Finbarr Catholic Church in Grand Meadow with Father Marreddy Pothireddy officiating. Burial will take place at a later time in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1hr prior to the service at the church.  Condolences may be left at the www.Hindtfuneralhomes.com
