Maxine K Winslow

Maxine Winslow, 102, of Fillmore died at Chosen Valley Care Center on July, 14, 2016. She was born on 09/07/1913 in the Village of Fillmore to Willie and Katherine Manley. She attended Fillmore Schools through the 8th grade and was married to Glenn Winslow on 10/15/1930 in Fillmore. They moved to Detroit, MI. during WWII, where she worked in an aircraft factory while Glenn was serving in the Army. They moved back to Fillmore in 1947 where she lived until May of 2015 when she moved to the Chosen Valley Care Center.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Geraldine O’Byrne and Marilyn (Scott) Snell of Wykoff; 1 daughter-in-law, Ginger Winslow of Wykoff; 15 Grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 39 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; 50 great- great grandchildren and 12 step great- great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 4 sisters, 4 brothers, 1 daughter, Carol Ann Wangen; 1 son, Wayne Winslow; 2 son-in-laws, Robert O’Byrne, Jr. and LaVerne Wangen and 2 great grandsons.

Funeral services for Maxine will be held at 10 am on Monday July 18th at the Fillmore Free Methodist Church in Fillmore, MN. with Pastor Mike Hopper officiating, burial will be in the Fillmore cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm on Sunday at the Fillmore Free Methodist Church and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.
