Duane and Mary Nelson

Kappers Family, Our hearts and prayers go out to you. These are difficult days. It is so good to have memories to hold on to. It is also good to be given the chance to say good-bye. Treasure each other every moment you can. Just like a farmer, he just had to get involved in the fall fieldwork somehow. :) Duane and Mary

Linda (Austby) Mason

To the Kappers family: I am a cousin to Judy and My father was Silas Austby. I have many fond memories of visiting with you in MN as a child and loved visiting with your parents a couple of years ago on a trip through the area. Barney gave us a great tour of the family farms and cemetary. Many of my family including my grandparents are buried there. My prayers are with all of you.

Marlene Hunt

I am also a cousin to Judy. My dad was Ervin Austby whom loved to come to Min when I was young to visit your mom and dad. I remember you Susan and Sandy. My mom Edna Austby and my husband and I came up to visit your parents two years ago and your dad Barney showed us the old Austby house and took us to the cemetary and pointed out special graves to me. I appreciated that because I haven't been there since I was maybe 11yrs old. You all take care! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Marlene Hunt (Austby)

Bob and Cyndi Wenzel

Jon Knudtson

To the Kappers Family We were very sorry to hear of Barney and Judy's passing. My parents (Orville and Virginia) always valued their friendship in the years that they farmed just north of you. I still make ginger cookies from a recipe that my mom got from Judy. Our prayers are with you in this difficult time. Jon Knudtson Orville Knudtson
