Dan A. Felper

Dan A. Felper, 65, of Riceville, IA, died on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at his home. 

Funeral services for Dan will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at LeRoy Lutheran Church in LeRoy, MN with Pastor Herman Bakker officiating. Burial will be at the LeRoy Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24th from 4-7 p.m. at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Riceville and will continue from 10-11 a.m. at the church on Thursday.

Danny Arnold Felper was born September 3, 1958 in Rochester, MN to Arnold and Mardella (Tebay) Felper. He was baptized at East St. Olaf Church in Rockdell, MN. He was confirmed at and was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Chester, IA.  Dan graduated from Riceville Community School in 1977. Throughout his life he had worked various jobs for Felper Trucking, McNelius, Kappers Fabricating and Pinicon Farms. He was currently working for Mehmert Tiling.

He raced stock car #77F for a number of years at the Cresco Speedway and Deer Creek Speedway, but then his true passion came through; tractor pulling. Tractor pulling was his life. You could find him during the weekends come summer at the track. Dan was always up for grabbing a Miller Lite and having a good chat, of course, with a little b.s. mixed in.  

Dan loved his daughter Nikki, her husband Brad and their family. He was so proud of his grandkids. You could find him sitting next to Nikki either in the stands or in a chair at a game, concert or some sort of school function the grandkids had him running to.

Dan is survived by his daughter Nikki (Brad) Bergan of LeRoy, MN, grandchildren Alexa, Anthony, Cheyenne, RaeLee and Parker, mother Mardella Felper of Riceville, siblings Kathy (Doug) Brown of Stewartville, MN, Dave (Ellen) Felper of Riceville, Kristy (Dan) Hockens of LeRoy, MN and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Arnold Felper on October 2, 2017.
