Chad L. Ryan

Chad L. Ryan, age 47, of Cresco, IA, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, at his home in Cresco, IA.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco, IA.  A wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Chad Lewis Ryan was born in Cresco, IA on April 15, 1970, son of Norbert and Betty Ryan.  He was a 1988 graduate from Crestwood High School.  After high school Chad worked for Featherlite Trailers.  He then went on to receive his Associates Degree from DeVry University in Chicago, IL.  Chad began working for Ameritech in Chicago which is now Verizon Wireless.  He moved back to the Cresco area 6 years ago and worked for CUSB and Tri-Tech in Decorah.

Chad was very creative and artistic.  He liked putting together model airplanes, cars, and trains, and creating scale model landscapes for them to exist in.  He also enjoyed photography, and always had the latest camera.  Chad attended car shows when he lived in Chicago.  His favorite make of cars were Porsche and Audi.  Chad was an amateur gun smith.  He enjoyed target practice on the farm, deer hunting, and attending gun shows with his dad.  Chad always looked forward to weekend trips to visit his sister.  He enjoyed her company and visiting with her neighbors.    

He is survived by his parents Betty (David) Kupka of Waukon, IA, and Norbert E. Ryan of Cresco, IA, and his sister Laura (Joe Montgomery) Ryan of Fort Dodge, IA.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John and Marcella (Moudry) Tlusty, paternal grandparents Clement G. and Ruth (Albertson) Ryan, and aunt Edna Mae Huss.
