Charles D. Kuhl, 80, of Racine, MN died on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Ostrander Care Center.
Charles Duwayne Kuhl was born on April 27, 1939 to Ben and A. Mary (Fuerstenberg) Kuhl in Stewartville, MN. He dairy farmed in the Spring Valley area and drove school bus for the Stewartville school district for 27 years. He also worked for the Spring Valley Tribune, doing the inserts and distributing papers throughout the area. Charles loved to reminisce and was very handy. Any idea you could give him, he could make it. He adored dogs and traveled the country attending various dog shows. He occasionally showed dogs himself and was a big part of the Basset Hound show scene.
Charles is survived by his sisters Larraine (LaVerne) Mickow of Elgin, MN, and Sandra Miller of Spring Valley, many nieces and nephews, and many dog showing friends, especially Nancy Klenke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Audrey, brother-in-law Kenneth Miller, and nephew Charles Miller.
Funeral Services for Charles will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley with Father Marreddy Pothireddy officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 21 at Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley and will continue for one hour at the church prior to the service on Friday.
