Clifford E. Wuertz, 85, of McIntire, IA died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Memorial services for Clifford Wuertz will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Riceville with Pastor Dan Christianson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Riceville.

Clifford Eugene Wuertz was born July 13, 1933 in Montrose, SD to Clifford and Aurelia (Henlee) Wuertz. In 1984, he met his significant other, Doris Cummings. Clifford enjoyed fishing at Cliff Lake in Canada for 30+ years. He tinkered with lawn mowers and many other small engines. He could be found every morning drinking coffee with the coffee gang in Riceville. Spending time with family and friends was very important to Clifford. He was a good guy who will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his significant other Doris Cummings of McIntire, IA, children Pamela Wingert of Madison, SD, Jerilyn (Curtis) Floyd of Wentworth, SD, Teresa Swier of Madison, SD, Mark (Cecilia) Moen of Emmetsburg, IA,  Mike (Dee) Cummings of Edgewater, FL, Mavis (Dennis) Miller of Waterville, MN, Marlys (Dennis) Mayer of Portland, OR, Pat (Mike) Fuller of Waterloo, IA, Judy Carlson of Pasedina, TX, Spike Cummings of Dallas, TX, Sharon (Gary) Zobeck of Elma, IA, Steve Cummings of Waterloo, IA, John (Lori) Cummings of Rockwell, TX, Tom (Michelle) Cummings of Riceville, IA, Bob Cummings of Mason City, IA, sister Elaine Darling of Upstate New York, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons James Wuertz and Kenny Cummings, 4 brothers Gerald, Dennis, Walter, and Richard, and 2 sisters Argene Phillips and LaVerl Assid.
