Sharon, I'm so sorry for you and little Ryan. I urge you to contact an attorney because it's the law that jails must provide adequate mental health and keep inmates safe. Google David S. Price's family settlement and the Dept of Justice (Washington) 1999 threat to sue the Black Hawk County Jail.. We, volunteers at the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Black Hawk County, want better mental health care for all who need it, especially those in jails. While it can no longer help Daniel, it can help his son.
