James “Jim” Lavern Wiebrand, age 72, of Spring Valley died Sunday September 9, 2018 at St. Mary’s in Rochester.
Visitation for James Wiebrand will be held at 5-7 P.M. Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 316 E Hillcrest in Spring Valley, MN. For those attending the visitation, please bring your own chair.
James was born March 18, 1946 in Dexter, MN. He married Joleen Thompson on November 14, 1981. They were married for 37 years. He liked giving Tracy Meyer a bad time during football season. He always had nicknames for Hannah Meyer and Rachel Meyer and always enjoyed picking on them. Jim loved picking on his great-niece Leigha Wiebrand. Jim loved picking on Tammy Wiebrand for liking Elvis Presley. What he most loved was picking on his little dog Miha, telling her he was going to grab her piddler. Jim liked making up songs on his guitar, dancing to country western music, and watching old movies. Jim worked as a garbage man and delivered for Post Bulletin.
Jim is survived by his wife Joleen, his little girl “Meme” at home, nephew Mike (Tammy) Wiebrand of Rochester, MN, brother-in-law Gordy Thompson, sister Shirley Dorr, lots of aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Molly and Bill Wiebrand, brothers Vern, Wes, Billy, and Bob, and sister Dort Stuckey.
