My sympathy to all of you. I had the privilege of having your dad as a teacher in Hendricks and a colleague in Spring Valley!

I was shocked when I read Leo passed and didn't realized he was sick. I remember when we moved into our first house we bought which was just next door that he helped us move on a January thaw day and he pushing a washer down the sidewalk.
He being involved with 5th grade Whitewater outting I remember. I was a chaperone and everyone was told before the kids got off the bus no one was to go in the water. Leo and Ed Vilt got ahold of me by the arms and feet and threw me in the creek which gave the kids permission to go in the water.
Both of your parents were very well liked. We got to be good friends with both of your parents. Your mom and I especially got c!ose when she got cancer as I came over to Lanseboro several times to visit her.
He will be missed by so many by your family and the many friends he and your mom had. Blessings to you all. The Aschemans

I am so sorry to hear this. I have great memories of him! Square dancing, roller skating and the scooters were so fun!! He had so much energy and was always bouncing!! I remember him having to push on my leg to make me go faster when I was merging in drivers training! Take care and cherish memories!

Mr. Kimball lived a life full of energy, enthusiasm, and joy. I was one of his students at Spring Valley elementary school. His kind, but firm demeanor made kids want to respect him. Kids really liked him. He was gentle with the heart, yet his presence commanded respect. He loved all children well. He was passionate about giving all childrenopportunity. I was a little girl who never thought I was very good in athletics. He gave me opportunity anyway and showed me that I actually am athletic. He encouraged me to try things and when I did, I realized I could do it. Today, I try To live my life in the same vein of joy and enthusiasm that Mr. Kimball demonstrated to us. I am now an athletic woman, who incorporates physical fitness as a daily part of my life and the lives of my children. I hope that I can be to the children around me what Mr. Kimball was to so many children throughout the years. This earth has lost A very good man. Mr. Kimball, I hope to be reunited with you in heaven someday. Thank you for making every day of your earthly life count in the lives of children. You have left a lasting mark of good on earth. You encourage me not to waste any of my days. I, like you, see the importance of investing in children. Thank you for showing me, a fragile little girl, my importance so that I can pass that gift on in my adult life.

Your life, here on earth, is deeply missed by many. With heartfelt gratitude, thank you Mr. Kimball for living well.

Leo is part of my warm memories of my home town of SV. I remember going with Leo to Rochester for a driver's ed session with my brother Joe. It was in a pretty severe snowstorm. Leo was very patient though he probably feared for his life.Ha! God bless you, Leo Kimball. You are now with Jesus!

I have very fond, wonderful memories of him. He taught me to drive a car, play basketball, great times in gym, huge pushes on the swings during recess and would always have time to talk to his students. What a great man! So sorry to his family for their loss.

Leo was such an energetic phy. ed. teacher all the way up to his retirement. I picture him demonstrating gymnastics moves and pull ups to my 2nd and 3rd grade classes. I was always amazed. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. Treasure the memories.
