Louis E. Hungerford

Louis E Hungerford, age 94, of Le Roy, MN passed away quietly in his sleep on Thursday, November 22,
2018.

He was born on February 27, 1924 in Beaver Twp., Fillmore County, MN to Erwin and Anna (Osland) Hungerford and attended Le Roy High School where he played baseball for his beloved Cardinals.

Louis was united in marriage to Mary Lou Fister on March 22, 1951 in Austin, MN and together they resided in Le Roy, MN where Louis had a long and rewarding career with the Co-Op Oil Company.

When not working, Louis played golf - once posting a score that matched his age
(86). He was also a master card player and enjoyed helping his community.
He was a volunteer with the Le Roy Fire Department, ambulance service and was active in the Le Roy Lutheran Church. After he retired he enjoyed helping area farmers with their annual
harvest.

Louis is survived by his wife Mary Lou of Le Roy, daughters Lana (married to Gregory Solomon) of Las Vegas, NV, Paula Myron of Zumbrota, MN, grandsons Brett Hungerford and Tyler Myron and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Bruce, 2 brothers and 1 sister.  Louis shared his love with a wonderful and supporting family that also loved him dearly. He will be missed by all who knew him

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at the Le Roy Lutheran Church with Pastor Herman Bakker officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday November 27 at the church.
