Marjorie Olson

Marjorie Ellen Olson passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on January 25th at Wildwood Grove in LeRoy, MN.

Marjorie was born November 22, 1930 to Floyd and Nellie (Liddy) Larson in LeRoy, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick’s Church in LeRoy and graduated from LeRoy High School in 1948. She was joined in marriage to Donald Olson on June 20, 1953 at St. Patrick’s Church, and from this marriage they had four sons- Robert, William, James, and Thomas and one daughter, Nancy. Marjorie was a long time member of the St. Patricks’ Altar Society, where she served as Secretary-Treasurer for several years.

Marjorie’s real passion was her family. She truly enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived by her husband Donald, and children Robert (Lynn) Olson of LeRoy, MN, William (Bobbi) Olson of Byron, MN, James (Debra) Olson of Ostrander, MN, and Nancy Olson of LeRoy, MN; grandchildren Jessica (Tyler) Hartman, Kirk (Janelle) Olson, Maggie Olson, Brady Olson, Breanna (Cole) Resleff, Brittlyn (Taylor) Kunkel, Dylan and Thomas Mackey; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Thomas.

Funeral service for Majorie will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday January 30th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in LeRoy with Father Marreddy Pothireddy officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Monday January 29th and will continue at the church for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Spring burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
