Deepest sympathy to all of the family. Mrytle was a kind soul and always had a smile. Your parents were both a treasured part of my early school years and will be remembered always.

I am sorry that I have not had as much contact as I would have liked with my relatives in the Ostrander area over the past years, but I looked forward every year to that Christmas card with a note in it from Myrtle. She always gave me an update on members of her family and others of the Ruud family.
I still remember that day back in 1962 when I returned from my military duties in Germany after being there for two and a half years. I parked my car, walked into the back door of our house, and there were my mother and Myrtle having one of their frequent visits and welcoming me back home again.
I would like to have been there for the service tomorrow to see you all and to share in your sorrow, but will not be able to come. I do, however, wish the best for all of you and I will be remembering you in my prayers as I also will be giving thanks for the many great memories of Myrtle and Pern who was also a wonderful friend and neighbor. May God bless you all!

What a wonderful lady! She will be missed but is in heaven, a much better place, with no more pain. She is with family & friends, like my Grandma, Viola (Ruud) Larson. R.I.P. Myrtle.

I am so sorry to learn of Myrtle's passing and wanted to express my deepest sympathy to your family. Myrtle was like another grandmother to me as well so it's been a sad few days for me after hearing the news.

I spent a the first few years of my life living close to Bill and Myrtle in Ostrander and Myrtle babysat me often while my parents were at work. I was actually a pallbearer for Bill's funeral when I was still quite young but remember that day like it was yesterday. I remember going on drives with Bill and Myrtle through the country roads and there was this tiny little shack out in the middle of a field. Bill would always say he bought that for me for when I get older and I could move my whole family in there. Myrtle would laugh hysterically every time. The two of them were always so upbeat and always smiling. They made me so happy just to be around them.

I also remember being sick one time and having to take pills but I couldn't swallow them. So Myrtle would mash up the pill and mix it in with some ice cream to help me take it. That might not have been medically appropriate but it sure helped me and I thought she was the best for doing it. She was so caring and thoughtful and touched so many lives along the way.

I'm so happy that Myrtle is now reunited with Bill in heaven. I know she missed him so much after he was gone and now they can laugh and smile together again. She is going to be so very missed but she lived a long and amazing life and the world is better to have had Myrtle in it.

I am so saddened that we have lost such a great person. Please accept my condolences.

Was saddened to learn of Myrtle's passing. I remember when I was in Ostrander Elementary School and Myrtle and Mrs. Paulson were the cooks -- both ladies were always so kind. Mr. Milburn was the custodian there -plus- he was also our Bus Driver. *Funny the things you remember as a kid! I can only imagine when Myrtle meets up with her beloved "Pern" and her sweet sister, Lyla ~~ what a reunion that will be. The world would be such a better place if there were more souls like Myrtle ~~ what a kind and caring woman that she was. My sincere condolences to her family .... she left a lasting impression on all of us.
