Such special memories of days on the farm with your family. Lots of good laughs and Bernie never hurt any of us. I enjoyed seeing your dad around my old neighborhood. So glad he enjoyed life. Sorry I won't be able to attend the memorial service but you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I so much enjoyed talking with Paul on a few occasions. I remember seeing him riding his bicycle when we drove to Preston. My sympathy's to the family.

We met Paul in a coffee shop in Preston, Minnesota in 2013. He recognized we were new in town (visitors) and wanted to know all about us. He had aspirations to visit the Polar Bears in Churchill, Manitoba so we convinced him to come see us on his way. We shared a lovely weekend showing him our hometown of Winnipeg. A year later he reciprocated and showed us around the Preston, MN area (Bily Clock Museum, etc.) with his friend Peg, and made us a lovely supper at the end of the day. We will always remember him as the true gentleman that he was.

Paul was such a kind man. Always had something good to say. When he was out taking a walk around our neighborhood and would stop and visit with anyone along the way. He would stop into the utility office to pay his monthly bill and visit. He would always compliment me on the flowers I planted around our house. This year I will plant a flower in Paul's memory. Our deepest sympathy to your families. Jon and Deb Ebner

I am sorry to hear about your dad passing. Your mom and dad was always nice to me being a kid from the city. Learn a lot from them about being out in the country. He will be greatly missed.
