Funeral services for Pauline (Thorson) King will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday March 9, 2018 at Valley Christian Center in Spring Valley with Pastor James Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Bennington Cemetery, Bennington Twp. Mower County. Friends may call 1hr prior to the service at the church.

Pauline Thorson King, age 98 years, 4 months and 2 days, of Ostrander, MN died Sunday March 4, 2018 at the Ostrander Care and Rehab.

Pauline, was the widow of Norwin Thorson, whom she married on June 9, 1946. The couple made their home on a farm in Racine, MN, where they had 4 children. In the summer of 1952 they moved to Ostrander, MN where they spent the rest of their lives.  Norwin died on June 30, 1980 at their home following a battle with lung cancer.

Pauline taught school, mostly grade school in many communities, including Spring Valley, Racine and Stewartville where she retired in May of 1983.

On July 25, 1982 she was united in marriage to Marvin King in the Assembly of God Church in Spring Valley, MN. They also made their home in Ostrander, MN. Marvin died June 10, 1984 at home. (Marvin is buried in the Spring Valley Cemetery next to his first wife)

Pauline is survived by her children; David (Jeanie) Thorson of Rochester, MN, Mary Adrian of Prior Lake, MN, Tommy Thorson of Ostrander, MN and Rita Thorson of Faribault, MN, 5 grandchildren; Heather (Dae) Yang, Dustin (Danielle) Thorson, Shawn Thorson, Ryan (Jamie) Hammes and Sarah Adrian, 12 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law Maxine Runkle of Stewartville, MN and many nieces and nephews and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, 2 granddaughters; Shannon Thorson and Amanda Adrian, a great-grandson Brady Thorson, a brother in infancy and 5 sisters.
