Randal Emanuel

Randal “Randy” Emanuel, 65, of Spring Valley, MN, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 19, 2017.

Funeral service for Randy Emanuel will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 23, 2017, at St. Finbarr Catholic Church in Grand Meadow with Father Marreddy Pothireddy officiating. Burial will be at the St. Finbarr Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-6 P.M. Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow and will continue for 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  

Randal David Emanuel was born on August 15, 1952 in Austin, MN to Robert and Leona (Schammel) Emanuel. In 1970, he graduated from Adams High School. After graduation, he went on to join the Army National Guard. He worked in Environmental Services at Mayo Clinic since 1989. He was also an avid outdoorsman. He liked hunting, fishing, beekeeping, and he volunteered at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro. Randy also enjoyed being a football referee for the Minnesota State High School League. Most of all he loved spending his time with family and friends, enjoying the simple moments in life.

Randy is survived by his children Chris Emanuel (Karen Schuster) of Milwaukee, WI, Jenny (Clint) Weiss of Grand Meadow, MN, and Jason (Annie) Emanuel of Rosemount, MN; his 7 grandchildren Jessica Emanuel, Taylor Stier, Heidi Weiss, Cole Weiss, Travis Weiss, Holly Weiss, and Evelyn Emanuel; 3 siblings Bob (Dawn) Emanuel of Pine Island, MN, Cheryl (Terry) Bellrichard of Austin, MN, and Doug Emanuel of Rochester, MN; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his infant son Matthew, parents, and grandparents.
