Timothy A. Rollie

Timothy Allen Rollie was born April 23, 1960 in Rochester, MN to Marlene and Jerry Rollie.

He passed away at age 59 at Season’s Hospice in Rochester on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

He was raised on the family dairy farm near Wykoff where he loved feeding cows, mowing lawn, and riding IH (red) tractors.

Tim attended Wykoff Public School. He moved to Rochester in 1980 to work at the Kahler Hotel as a dishwasher and met his future wife, Elaine Konter. They married June 15, 1991 and lived in their home in NW Rochester. He also worked at Mayo Clinic in environmental services. The job he took the most pride in was at the Ability Building Center (ABC), “making shower bags for Mayo Clinic patients.”

Tim loved his Vikings, Twins, and Gophers. Win or lose he was an avid fan, but did not hesitate to tell the TV what he thought about the officiating. Tim participated in Special Olympics track, bocce, and bowling. Tim’s shiny Vikings bowling ball was a true conversation piece. Tim was always ready for a trip. He and Elaine enjoyed vacationing to Branson, the Black Hills, and Disney World. His biggest smile came when he landed a fish, no matter the size. He knew how to enjoy life whether it was coloring or putting together a puzzle. Tim shared his smile with everyone and never met anyone who didn’t instantly become his friend.

Tim is survived by his wife Elaine; parents Marlene and Jerry Rollie; siblings- Myron (Ellen) Rollie, Sheri (Donovan) Ramaker, Brenda (Mark) Herting, and nephews Damon Ramaker, Tyler Ramaker, Daniel Rollie, Joel Rollie, Andy Herting, and niece Alyssa Herting, and 8 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his nephew Mychal Rollie.

A Celebration of Life for Tim will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Spring Valley with lunch to follow. Pastor Betsy Dartt will be officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Wykoff, MN. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
