Carol Lee Ronken, 78, of Otsego, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022, following a lengthy illness.
Teacher, cheerleader, and counselor, she founded every relationship on the cornerstone of love. Talented musician, committed educator, and merciless scrabble player, she was that rare individual who could listen while she spoke. Or typed. Or won.

A lover of children, classrooms, knowledge, and crafts, she made an unfathomable number of activity sheets and cozy blankets. She was married to David W. Ronken 52 years, 5 months, 2 weeks, and 1 day. In her full time gig as a devoted wife, dedicated parent, and adoring grandma, she somehow found the time and energy to support the church, start a business, earn her degree, and plant the seed of quiet grace for generations to come.
Carol is survived by her husband Dave, daughters Lisa (Stephen) Kuehn of Otsego, MN and Lori (David) Upgren of St. Paul, MN, grandchildren Jonathan Kuehn, Elianna Kuehn, Abigail Kuehn and Benjamin Kuehn, brothers Dale Loken and Donald Loken both of Owatonna, MN, sister Leann (Marcellus) McMullen of St. Francis, MN and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Norman Loken.

A private graveside service will be held at Ostrander Cemetery in Ostrander, MN.

A memorial service for Carol will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Christian Family Church in Edina, MN located at 7375 Bush Lake Rd, Edina, MN 55439
