Charlene Mae Lenz

Charlene Mae (Elton) Lenz, age 91, formally of Spring Valley, died on Friday, December11, 2020 at the Zumbrota Care Center in Zumbrota, MN.

A private family funeral is being held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Spring Valley, MN on Wednesday, December 16th. 

Charlene was born March 5, 1929 to Melvin and Emma Elton in Harmony, MN and united in marriage to Nevin E. Lenz on September 18, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, MN.

Charlene traveled to Europe and throughout the United States.  She also enjoyed music of all kinds including Lawrence Welk and the Gaither Vocal Band, Search-a-Word puzzles, making lefsa, graham cracker pie, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her 3 children:  Karyn (Tom) Hughes of Mantorville, MN, Mark Lenz of Rochester, MN and Janet (Mark) Robling of Chaska, MN; 3 grandchildren: Nicole (Josh) Artis, Kimberly (Albin) Timm and Paige Robling and 5 great-grandchildren: Olivia and Jocelyn Artis and Asher, Declan and Beau Timm.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Nevin; parents; grandparents; sister, Janice; and infant brother.

Family requests that memorials be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church-Organ Fund or Our Savior’s Lutheran Church-Christmas Good Gifts.
