Cheryl R. (Benson) Miller

Cheryl R. Miller, 77, of Preston, MN, died on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Mayo Clinic- St. Marys Campus in Rochester, MN.

Cheryl Rae Benson was born on September 5, 1946 in Preston, MN to Edward and Mary (Henke) Benson. She graduated from Preston-Fountain High School in 1964. After high school, Cheryl worked for the phone company in Preston for 30 years. Cheryl later worked at the Preston IGA grocery store for over 20 years. She married Edward Miller on November 6, 1965 and together they had 3 sons; Mike, Dan and Joel.

Cheryl is survived by her sons Mike, Dan and Joel Miller all of Preston, brother Richard (Virginia) Benson, brother-in-law Bruce (Sue) Miller, many cousins and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, brother Ronnie Benson, brothers-in-law Steven Miller and Ronnie Miller, sister-in-law Gladys Miller, and her mother and father-in-law Paul and Florence Miller.

Visitation for Cheryl will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the United Methodist Church in Preston.  The committal service will be held at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston with Pastor Mark Woodward officiating.
