Donald F. Jones

Donald F. Jones, 95, of Chester, Iowa, passed away on April 11, 2021, after a long fight with renal disease. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing.

Don was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed his many fishing trips to Canada with his brothers, son and nephews. He spent many hours at the family pond catching bass and blue gills.  Don was a member of the Lime Springs/Chester Fish & Game Club.

Don is survived by two sons, Russell Jones, of Chester IA and Jerry Jones, of Watkins IA, two daughters, Sandra (Tim) Good of Canton MN and Wendy (Jim) Richardson of Canton MN, and a brother Roger Jones of Strawberry Point, IA, plus several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his wife (Katheryn Watts Jones), four brothers and two sisters.

A visitation will be held on April 16th, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hindt Funeral Home in Le Roy, MN. A small gathering of family and friends will gather for a Graveside Service at 2:30 p.m. at Chester Hill Cemetery in Chester, IA.
