Doris Ann (Severson) Peterson

Doris Ann Peterson, age 84, of Wykoff, MN, died on Friday, September 29, 2023 at home.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Wykoff, MN. An option for viewing via live stream will be available on the Wykoff United Methodist Church's Facebook page.  Visitation for Doris will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023 also at the Methodist Church.  Pastor Bridget Sheely will be officiating.  Burial will be in Wykoff Cemetery. Following services a celebration of life will be held at Jared's house, 28050 Morgan Rd Wykoff, MN. 

Doris Ann Peterson was born April 21, 1939 to Oscar and Mabel Severson in Modena, WI.  She graduated from Mondovi High School and pursued college in Rochester. 

Doris loved to read, quilt, take photos, stay active swimming, and spending time with her family.  Doris wore many hats and spent much of her time as the “brains” behind Pete’s Auction and Photo.  Doris was always seen with a smile and a camera in her hand.

On September 24, 1960 she was united in marriage to Normen Peterson and they made their home in Wykoff, MN.  Norm and Doris built their family, business, and lives together for just over 63 years; celebrating their anniversary just last weekend.

When she wasn’t in her sewing room or reading at her chair, Doris loved to travel, cook, and watch her grandchildren’s activities. 

Doris is survived by her husband Norm; three children Brad (Sherry), Jodie (Bill), Jana (Joe); grandchildren Michael, Jared (Kelly), Mark (Brianna), Shauna (Drew); great-grandchildren Keira, Addison, Grayson, Walker, Collin, plus one to arrive in February; her brother Al (Phylis); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Merle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
