Larry W Heath

Larry W. Heath, 75, died of natural causes January 19, 2023, at Valley View Health Care Center in Houston, MN.  He was born July 1, 1947, in Owatonna, MN, the son of Oren and Bernadeen (Condon) Heath.  The family moved to Rochester, MN when Larry was very young.

Services for Larry will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Preston, MN, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN.

Larry graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester, Class of 1965.  Following graduation, he served for two years in the US Marine Corp.  Larry married Peggy Snyder of Lacrosse, WI; they later divorced.  He married Elaine Cokinos of Rochester, MN.  The couple had one son and later divorced.  After serving in the military, Larry was employed at Andy’s Liquor Store, Rochester, and later retired from Rochester IBM. 

Larry was very fun-loving; he enjoyed boating, fishing, playing pool, gathering for family parties, his cherished cars and motorcycles, and Elvis!  He was a very proud ‘Papa’ to his three grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law Wayne Harrington and Jim Fadness. 

Survivors include his son, Greg and his wife Heather, of Holmen, WI, and grandchildren Jamie, Johanna, and Jacksen of Holmen.  Siblings include Shirley Larson of Cloquet, MN, Judy Abrahamson and her husband Abe of Cape Fair, MO, Beverley Harrington of Hayfield, MN, Debbey Steele and her husband Jim of Brookston, MN, Bradley Heath and his wife Linda of Rochester, MN, Darcey Heath and her partner Randy of Preston, MN.  He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and ten grand-nieces and nephews.
