Marjorie Partridge Obituary

Marjorie (Marge) Partridge, 94, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Ladysmith Care and Rehab facility in Ladysmith, WI.

Marge was born April 9, 1926 in Grand Meadow, MN to Anna Hebl and Gustav Hebl.    She moved to Austin, MN when she was 16 years old, so she could work and finish high school, graduating in 1944.  She returned to Grand Meadow after graduation and worked at the local locker and grocery store where she met Harold Partridge, a veteran that had returned to Grand Meadow from his tour of duty during WWII.  They were married in the Little Brown Church on June 25th, 1946 and to this union, three children were born: Leonard, Franklin and Leonatta.

Marge was involved in her church and community, teaching Sunday school, and participating in Bible studies, the Legion Auxiliary, Study Club, the Red Hatters and various other groups throughout the years.  She also helped with the family business when time allowed.

She always found time to enjoy coffee with her friends and neighbors; the coffee pot was always on, and anyone who needed a cup of coffee or a cookie (or two) was welcome to drop in.  Marge always thought of others, whether she was helping with church events, community yard sales, attending auction sales, sewing or gardening, her warm heart guided her. Marge always had extra time and goodies, especially for those she loved.

Marge is survived by her children: Leonard (Anna) Partridge of Glendale, AZ;  Frank (Bonnie) Partridge of Bruce, WI; Leonatta (Dave) Nelson of Riverton, WY; Grandchildren: Jerimiah (Jennifer) Partridge of Valley Falls, KS; Carman (Ryan) Empey of Shorewood, WI; Tyler (Diana) Partridge of Beijing, China; Molly Partridge (Jesse Roske) of Phoenix, AZ; Lindsey Partridge of Portland, ME; Alex (Rachel) Partridge of Buckeye, AZ; Great Grandchildren – Ella and Olivia Partridge of Valley Falls, KS; Joshua and Caroline Partridge of Beijing, China; and Jaxson and Teagan Empey of Shorewood, WI.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Partridge; parents, Anna and Gustav Hebl; and siblings, Loretta Cardinal, Dorothy Zimprich, Leona Ellingworth, Bud (Louis) Hebl, Son (Francis) Hebl, Buck (Dwaine) Hebl, Babe (Floyd) Hebl, Top (Lona) Hebl and Tony (James) Hebl.

Marge’s funeral will be held October 26th, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow, with the Reverend Jon Marburger officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service (1:00pm to 2:00pm) with burial in the Grand Meadow Cemetery.
