Marshall D. Keeton, 47, of LeRoy, MN died on Thursday, October, 14, 2021.

Marshal David Keeton was born to James “Fred” and Patricia (Palmer) Keeton on December 20, 1973. They lived in McIntire, IA when he was born and then he spent most of his life in Russell, IA. Marshall later lived in LeRoy independently for a couple of years before moving into a group home. He loved his group home and all of his housemates. Marshall was a friend to all and knew everybody. And if he didn’t know you, he got to know you very quickly. He had the “gift of gab” and always liked to be right. Fishing was Marshall’s favorite activity. He also enjoyed going to family get-togethers. He tried to attend as many events as he could.

Marshall is survived by his siblings Ruth Beals of Chariton, IA, Caroline Bliven of Rudolph, WI, Jim (Mary) Keeton of Norfolk, VA, Judy Portis of Riceville, IA, Lois (Albert) Winkels of McIntire, IA, and Ruby Losee of Riceville, IA, 2 aunts Carol of Fort Collins, CO and Linda of CA, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Patricia Keeton, sister Nancy Greely, brothers David (Shirley) Keeton, John Keeton, 5 brothers-in-law, a niece, a nephew, a great-niece, and a great-great-nephew.

Funeral services for Marshall will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Riceville with Pastor Brian Thiel officiating. Burial will take place at Wayne Cemetery in McIntire. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday.
