Martha Lee

Funeral services for Martha Lee will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 9, 2019 at the Fillmore Free Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Ward officiating. Visitation will be held 5-7 P.M. Wednesday May 8, 2019 at the Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley and will continue on Thursday at the church for 1hr prior to the service. Burial will be in the Frankford Cemetery.

Martha Lee, age 80, of Spring Valley died Sunday May 5, 2019 at the Spring Valley Living.
She was born August 6, 1938 in Jordan Twp, Fillmore County, MN to Willard and Eunice (Fort) Higgins. She attended school through the 8th grade and was united in marriage to Roger Lee on January 12, 1957 at the Racine Methodist Church. Together they farmed in Frankford Twp. all their lives. Martha helped with the milking and enjoyed teaching the grandchildren how to milk by hand. She collected "cow" memorabilia, enjoyed watching soaps and pro wrestling, and liked to follow Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr. 

She is survived by her children; Ronald (Stacy House) Lee of Grand Meadow, MN, Deborah (Jay) Groth of New Hope, MN, Kevin (Angie) Lee of Racine, MN, Judy (Bob) Wells of Spring Valley, MN, Kathryn (Bryan) O'Connell of Spring Valley, MN Larry (Jennifer) Lee of Spring Valley, MN, Sandra (Jason) Thompson of Spring Valley, MN, Michelle (Dustin Gunhus) Lee of Elkton, MN and son-in-law Mike Brock of Spring Valley, MN, 35 grandchildren, 26  great- grandchildren, 2 sisters; Thelma Volkart of Rochester and Ruth Clarken of Lamberton, MN and a sister-in-law Donna Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger in 2015, daughter Linda Brock, twin grandsons Mathew and Jordan, a brother Gilbert Higgins, and a brother-in-law Donald Lee.
