Phillip E. Musel

Phillip Eugene Musel passed away August 12, 2021, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, with his brother Wayne at his side.

He was born in Rochester, Minn., on January 9, 1954, to Edith (Hamersma) Musel and Robert J. Musel. They lived in rural areas of Eyota, Preston and Spring Valley. Phillip lived with his parents until their passings, he was also preceeded in death by his sister Mavis Ladean Nagel-Neis.

Phillip moved to Austin, married Linda Anderson and later divorced. He enjoyed his love for music teaching himself how to play guitar and spending endless hours learning song lyrics. He was also an avid fisherman.

Phillip is survived by his brother Wayne (Joanie) Musel of Spring Valley and sister Marcella Musel of Wykoff, nephew and nieces Bradley (Brenda) Musel, Ross (Jillian) Musel, Sean (Lesley) Musel, Allan (Tammy) Neis, Ashley (Eric Braun), Reggie (Missy) Musel, Julie Hutsell, Paula Meyer, Pam (Jeremy) Comstock and many great-nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on September 18, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Spring Valley Cemetery, with a luncheon following at the VFW Hall in Spring Valley.
