Ruth E. (Musel) Frieberg

Ruth E. Frieberg, age 79, of Hayfield, MN, formally of Le Roy, MN, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Hospitals St Marys Campus.

Memorial Services for Ruth Frieberg will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Le Roy Lutheran Church in Le Roy, Minnesota, with Pastor Herman Bakker officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville, IA.  Visitation will take place at the church for 1 hr prior to the service on Saturday.

Ruth Ellen Musel was born January 18, 1942 near Le Roy, MN, to Albert and Ella (Jensen) Musel.  On March 9, 1963, Ruth married Harold Frieberg in Minnehaha, SD.  To this union, 2 sons were born, Mark Steven and Brad Allen.  Harold later passed away on October 26, 2005.  Ruth liked to volunteer her time with the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Spring Valley, MN.  She enjoyed bowling and watching The Vikings and The Twins play.  Ruth would also spend time playing cards at the Senior Citizens Center in Le Roy, as well as traveling to visit her sisters whenever she could.  Her biggest joy of all was spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by her 2 sons Mark (Dawn) Frieberg of Hayfield, MN, and Brad Frieberg of Sparta, WI; grandchild Danielle (Chris) Davidson and great-grandchild William “Will” of Republic, MO; siblings Mary Jones of Vista, CA, Marjorie Halverson of Cohaset, MN, Raymond (Betty) Musel of Albert Lea, MN, Joe (Linda) Musel of Hawick, MN, and Jim (Norma) Musel of New Brighton, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
