Susan Jean Shaver

Susan Jean Shaver, 63, passed away on February 23, 2021.  She was born December 11, 1957 in Cresco, IA, the daughter of Charles and Elvira Shaver.

She had a lifelong love of nature and animals and had a curiosity and humor about her that was very endearing. She lived an interesting life and spent a lot of time with her creative interests, including fine arts and painting, growing flowers, jewelry crafting, and yarn.  She loved making special gifts for her family and friends. She stayed young at heart in spite of her long battle with cancer.  

Susie is survived by her dear friend and companion, Neil Theile; her children, Shena Collins, Corey Blomgren, & Josh (Angela) Blomgren; sisters, Deb Terhune, Pam Neubauer, and Patty Shaver; and Uncle Don Foley. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Susie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles & Elvira Shaver; grandparents, Bill & Georgene Foley, and Charles & Violet Shaver.

She will be remembered lovingly for her creative life and spirited personality. 

Arrangements by Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
