William Foster Obituary

William (Bill) Foster, age 83, passed away August 18, 2020 at Prairie Senior Cottages in New Richland, MN.

William Allen John Foster was born October 22, 1936 to Harold and Helen (Pooler) Foster in Preston, MN. He attended all 12 years at Preston High School, graduating with the class of 1954. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1957. He spent those years in Guam and San Diego, CA.

William was a softball player for years and played with the Ostrander fast pitch team. He was also an avid golfer. William drove semi for years for different companies. He retired in 2004 from McNeilus in McIntire, IA.

Survivors include four sons Allen Foster of Spring Valley, MN, Corey (Darlene) Foster of Dodge Center, MN, Russell Foster of Grand Meadow, MN, Craig (Melissa) Foster of Sparta, WI, daughter Sherri (Bill) Brekke of Lewiston, MN, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Karla, brothers Harold, Frank, and Steve, son-in-law Tom Brekke, and his parents.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
