Harry Johnson

Harry was born March 13, 1921 in Spring Valley, MN, to Harry II. and Alma (Haugan)Johnson. He died February 23, 2012 at Grand Meadow Healthcare Center, GrandMeadow, MN.Harry graduated from Spring Valley High School the 2' day of June 1939 and enlisted in the Army Air Forces October 8, 1942 earning the rank of Sergeant and was discharged February 6, 1946. Harry graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Degree of Bachelor of Arts on the 21st day of December 1950.Harry was employed by The United States Postal Service for 30 years retiring on November 29, 1982.Harry was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, MN and The American Legion Post 68. Harry enjoyed family history and history of Spring Valley he shared many pictures and information with the Spring Valley Historical Society.Norm and Shirley Bergman would like to give special thanks to Grand Meadow Healthcare Center and Seasons Hospice for the special care they gave to Harry.Harry was an only child; never married he is survived by cousins. Harry was preceded in death by his parents.In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Spring Valley Historical Society, or the Grand Meadow Healthcare Center.
